What makes us special

Our specializations

Beyond our core services, a handful of areas have grown into genuine specializations of our practice — driven by specifically trained therapists, a clear methodology and the experience of many accompanied patients.

How we approach it

A specialization means: going deeper.

We treat a topic as a specialization when our team brings more than standard training to it — therapists with years of additional qualification (e.g. BAO-certified paediatric osteopathy, ESAAT-standard animal-assisted therapy) and the experience that flows together across our three Leipzig locations.

Each specialization is evidence-based and interdisciplinary — meaning the therapist actively coordinates with physiotherapy, occupational therapy or naturopathy when your treatment path suggests it. The result is therapy that fits together, not isolated single sessions.

On each specialization page below you'll find: who the treatment helps, how a typical session unfolds, the responsible specialist, and answers to the questions we hear most often.

Common questions about our specializations

Does health insurance cover physiotherapy?

Yes — with a prescription from your doctor. We bill statutory health insurers directly. Private patients receive an invoice to submit to their insurance.

How quickly can I get a physiotherapy appointment?

We aim for prompt scheduling — typically within one to two weeks. Acute cases are prioritised wherever possible.

Do I need a new prescription for every session?

One prescription usually covers several sessions — the exact number is noted on the prescription. We then review with you whether a follow-up prescription is appropriate.

Is osteopathy covered by health insurance?

Many statutory health insurers in Germany subsidise osteopathy in part — typically 60–80% per session, often capped at a certain number of treatments per year. Please check with your insurer in advance — we issue an invoice you can submit for reimbursement.

How long does an osteopathic session take?

A session usually lasts 45 to 60 minutes. The first appointment, which includes a detailed history, can run somewhat longer.

Do I need a medical referral for osteopathy?

No, a referral is not required to receive osteopathic treatment at our practice. However, a doctor’s recommendation may help when claiming reimbursement from your health insurer.

Who can receive naturopathic treatment?

In principle both adults and children — we clarify in an initial conversation whether and how treatment is appropriate for your concern. Naturopathy is offered as a complement to, not a replacement for, medical care.

Are naturopathic treatments reimbursed?

Private health insurers and supplementary naturopathy policies often cover these services — coverage depends on your tariff. Statutory insurers generally do not reimburse naturopathic treatment. We issue an invoice you can submit.

What conditions is occupational therapy suitable for?

Occupational therapy supports people of every age in managing daily life — after accidents, with neurological conditions, developmental delays in children, or as part of rehabilitation. Content and goals are agreed individually at the start of treatment.

Does health insurance cover occupational therapy?

Yes — occupational therapy is covered by statutory health insurance with a doctor’s prescription. We bill directly. Private patients receive an invoice to submit to their insurer.

What is neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a training method that measures brain activity in real time and feeds it back visually. This allows attention and self-regulation patterns to be practised in a targeted way. It is used, among other things, for concentration, sleep, and stress-related challenges.

How many neurofeedback sessions are useful?

That depends on your goals and individual progress — typically sessions are scheduled over several weeks. In the initial conversation we discuss realistic expectations and a suitable training interval.
